Today's One Whole Being Meditation with Sound Healing is all about the power of your breath. Breathwork is at the heart of this inner work and the foundation to letting go and feeling better.
As we go about our day, breathing is taken care of by the autonomic nervous system. This is great, because it means we can do things without having to remember to breathe. However, many of us can get into bad habits of breathing, such as short and shallow breaths. This can cause anxiety, stress and over-thinking.
When we become conscious of our breathing, we can use it to activate the parasympathetic nervous system. This helps us to feel calmer, more relaxed and more at ease.
The breathing practice I will share with you here is simple, effective and can transform your day. Just a few minutes of deep, conscious breathing in the morning can improve the way you think and feel. And it's something you can use throughout your day. If ever you feel stressed, anxious or overwhelmed, you can call in the power of conscious breathing to let it go. Over time, this retrains your body, mind and nervous system to respond to life in a calmer way.
