The Healing Power of Therapeutic Hypnosis

Dear soul,

For most of my life, I never thought hypnosis had anything to do with healing. I had seen the stage hypnotists on TV make people believe they were a chicken. And to be honest, it didn't seem like something I wanted to experience. 

Then it all changed for me.

I was fortunate enough to have a couple of hypnosis sessions with a friend. She helped me overcome my fear of signing. 

I felt such a shift within me that it inspired me to look into the research. I found studies that hypnosis can help with;

  • Releasing phobias
  • Releasing depression
  • Releasing anxiety
  • Releasing stress
  • Creating shifts 
  • Overcoming inner obstacles, such as procrastination
  • Sleeping better
  • Losing weight

Seeing the research inspired me to train to become a hypnotherapist at the London School of Hypnotherapy.

In my training, I discovered that hypnosis is a powerful tool to help people let go, feel better and create changes in their lives. 

One of my favourite aspects is hypnotic regression. This is a way of releasing trauma that might have been held for years, decades, or even since childhood. The client is regressed back to the time where the trauma happened and gently guided to heal and release the emotions associated with acceptance and awareness.

In this way, hypnotic regression can lead to greater freedom, more joy and deeper states of peace. 

Many people think they will lose consciousness during a hypnosis session, but actually you stay fully aware.

It's really just a simple way of guiding you into a deeply relaxed state so you can let go of whatever needs to be released and cultivate new patterns of thoughts that serve you.

In this deeply relaxed state, the brain is more open and receptive to releasing and creating change.

If there's something you would like to release or create through hypnosis, you can book a session with me here.

  • Each session is 90 minutes and via zoom.
  • At the beginning of the session, we can discuss exactly what you want to get out of the session. Then I can tailor the hypnosis specifically for your needs and wishes. 
  • If you want, we can record the session so you will receive an mp3 of the hypnosis so you can listen as many times as you want.
  • Repetition helps embed the change.
  • Depending on what you want to work on, you may need multiple sessions to unpack and release any stuck emotions and create the change you want.
