Talk and Meditation - Being Kind to Yourself

Today's episode of One Whole Being is a talk and guided practice on being kind to yourself. 

Why is it so hard to be kind to ourselves? Why do we humans tend to beat ourselves up? How do we stop that inner battle?

These are questions that I've been pondering for many years. And I would love to share my insights with you. 

Often, we strive to be accepting, forgiving and kind to others. Yet we fail or forget to offer that same compassion and understanding to our own mistakes and shortcomings.

As humans, we are imperfect. We make mistakes. We hurt those we love. We react in ways that later seem absurd. By taking time to cultivate the inner quality of self-friendship and kindness, we can take a big step towards true self-compassion.

This is not only nourishing, it is deeply healing.

Over time, as we cultivate the ability to be kind and loving toward ourselves in times of difficulty, then we can begin to truly harness the power of love to heal and find peace.
